The Second RCC Camp at Gojaburu Hill in Purulia was an adventure-filled, friendship-building experience that will never be forgotten! People came together to take part in exhilarating activities, spend time in nature, and discover the breathtaking scenery as a group. All of them, experienced campers or novice explorers, bonded over similar experiences and made priceless memories. We are sincerely grateful to everyone who attended; your excitement made this camp something truly unique! Cheers to the amazing times we had together and the exciting journeys ahead!

From the Desk of the CAMP COMMANDANT:

Few students of MAKAUT, with passionate love for nature and a zeal for adventure, activities have been feeling the need of a platform/ association of their own to share and exchange ideas, experiences and enjoy together the thrill of adventure activities. Under the guidance of their mentor, Mr. Shambo Chatterjee, Asstt. Professor of MAKAUT they formed the MAKAUT Nature and Adventure Club (MNAC) in 2024.

The aim of MNAC is to promote Mountaineering and allied Adventure Activities and to build Environmental Awareness. In spite of a meager fund, lack of experience, MNAC successfully completed its maiden venture, the “2nd Rock Climbing and Nature Study Camp”, during 10/01/2024 to 13/01/2024 at Gojaburu Hills, Purulia in collaboration with “Foransa” who provided the logistic and technical support. And thereafter, the journey goes on. It was not always smooth sailing - many an obstacle appeared to hinder their progress; but they unitedly negotiated all. Dr. Atri Bhowmik, Finance Officer has been playing a positive role from the very beginning as a valuable advisor. Mr. Subhendu Mandal and some prominent mountaineers have also lent their helping hand.
